Tim, I've heard every Legendtorial you've ever done, and this one is by far the best. Please allow me to add my voice to yours and extend my deepest sympathy to the family of young Tyler Morr.

No matter the cause, the pain and grief of losing a child, or grandchild, has to be unbearable. Parents should not outlive their children. My fondest hope is that the Morrs find comfort in knowing that they will indeed see him again some day soon.

God bless them, and you.

Steven, you found me! How delightful to see you again. Watch for my links on Jayski, or just come here often. Better yet, join our RacersReunion® family and you can see me everyday, just as if we were neighbors. Tell your friends!

As much as I like ABC/ESPN, but, the fact that the IMS deserves to consider firing them for NBC Sports or even hiring a new crew who's concern over motorsports is authentic. I am feeling
"Sweet Home Alabama" is a Talladega Song, not an Indy Song and I would welcome NASCAR to consider more of a diverse Major Race Coverage as FOX and SPEED have a history of getting the coverage wrong.I think some things need to be right for good.

Harlee, I have loved the story of the flag over Fort McHenry for years! Yes, we learned it in grammar school when I was young, but I don't think the schools include it in the curriculum any longer.

There are many renditions of the story living on YouTube today, but I've not found one by the gentleman that did it so very grippingly on WHO many years ago. By coupling the story, presented herein from the transcript that accompanied his presentation on WHO, with Kevin Pierce's stirring rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, and the original flag itself, which can still be seen at the National Museum of American History, I hoped to bring the entire presentation forth in the best and most complete way.

If I accomplished that, then I'm happy. It's not a losing battle as long as folks such as us keep telling the story.

PK, Thank you so much for posting this. I have a copy of that in my email achives and read it often. I also pass it around to my great and grand kids. I feel it is important for our generation to keep the young informed in the issiues that have made this great nation. Sometimes I feel it is a losing battle.

Patty, a lot of us are becoming more disconnected from our history and I know its personal for a lot of people that Racing and Memorial Day go arm in arm and this would have been the last time Jim Nabors and Bob Jenkins would have been in the booth. I know Bob has his wife's Brain Cancer, and I feel Indy's no ARCA Supercar Race and someone badly needs to retire Marty Reid.
