A David Pearson Question.

Since I’m gettin’ old ( ha!), my memory is failing me. I need help solving a question about “the Man” David Pearson. I was @ a Darlington race in which D.P. won & R. Petty crashed out. As a matter of fact, it was toward the end of the race & they were neck & neck (as usual). It rivaled “the great one”, but Petty wasn’t in it @ the end… I need to know if any one remembers if it was ’69 or ’70. much thanks for any feedback. Ken J.

Thanks Robbie ! That seems pretty close. I was only 10yrs. old @ the time & it’s been a loooong time. I do remember that it happened between the flag & turn #1. And they had to practicaly drag the #43 off w/ rollers and pick up most of the pieces…
