Hemingway Speedway
Submitted by Jack Walker, 2009
It's hard to tell there was an very active race track at Hemingway, SC in the 50's, and 60's, but 40 some years later the backstretch can be still seen. During the 1960 season the track ran Limited Sportsman rules under the Nascar banner. That year there were some famous names that finished in the final track point standings: Ralph Earnhardt 3rd, Cale Yarborough 6th, Jimmy Thompson 9th, and Joe Weatherly 14th. Jack
