Stock Car Racing

Where was this race track? I am thinking somewhere off 460?

Here’s the directions in a 1962 ad, courtesy of Jack Carter. That’s his dad’s car driven bu Butch Torrie on your program cover.

Dave that would put itbetween Richard Bland College and Central State Hospital?

I don’t know my way around Petersburg, Ricky, except years ago to get to the original King’s BBQ!

Ricky the photo of the car #37 on the front of the NUBAR SPEEDWAY program was my father’s race car driven by Butch Torrie. Do you have a copy of that program ? If you do, would you sell it ?

The picture of the track on the program does not look like Dinwiddie Speedway to me, I think by looking at the building in the background it is Chinese Corner Speedway in Norfolk, VA or Peanut City Speedway in Suffolk, VA.
