While I am a devout optimist and have most often defended those who feel “the glass is half full” rather than those who would contend “the glass is half empty”, I find myself on the other side when it comes to the following subject matter. I see the glass becoming “less full” with each passing year.

I think there is a crucial element of past success in NASCAR that is gradually fading away. And I think that situation, if not corrected, could be the beginning of the end. And I wonder if we have ventured too far down that path to turn this around?
