Last year, right about this time, an announcement was made that a brand new team was forming and planned to run the Daytona 500. The owner of the new team with the big aspirations, FAS Lane Racing,  was crew chief Frankie Stoddard. When announced, three weeks before the big race itself, the team had no car, no sponsorship and no driver, just a dream.
