RACING LEGENDS MEDICAL HARDSHIP FUND
by: Tim Leeming
In this world today, there seems to be more charities soliciting money than there are justifiable causes worthy of contributions. RacersReunion® supports Racing Legends Medical Hardship Fund, which was established in 1991 to “assist with the needs of life’s hardships for those who have committed their life to professional stock car racing”. These folks in need include drivers, crew members and others who worked in racing. What started with the efforts to keep electrical power on and stocking the cupboards of one individual in need, has now become a 501(c) (3) charitable organization for tax deductible purposes. Since 1991, the organization has assisted many of the racing pioneers as the needs became known.
