Good day race fans, and welcome to RacersReunion, a site we know is read by folks that matter.  In our last visit, which was not all that long ago, a fan brought up a point about taking the Nationwide and CW Truck series back to the short tracks and giving them further separation from the Cup series in an effort to make them once again stand-alone leagues.  Hey, that works for me, and ties in nicely with the thoughts I planned on expressing today anyway. Remember, keep it civil and respectful. We want to be seen as being serious, not merely negative.

Did anyone watch the Nationwide race from Chicago on Sunday? OK, the guy over in the corner with his hand up... you're the one, huh? Seriously race fans, the race began; the camera, instead of trying to hide the stands from view as has become normal practice, followed the cars around the full 1.5 miles that is  Chicagoland Speedway and past the grandstands... whoa! Wait! Back up the DVR! That's what I thought I saw... nothing!  The tiny gathering of humanity in those stands wouldn't have made a long line at the ice-cream truck on a hot July afternoon. Looking for someone to tell me they were all downstairs shopping and would be along soon, I posted on our RacersReunion Forum board and several others confirmed what my lying eyes had told me. That crowd would have been entirely comfortable in my living room.
