Got up and got loaded around daylight headed for the test track to shake down "Ol' Yeller" so I could get back and shoot some pics this afternoon. Here's the old girl tied down and ready to roll while I'm trying to decide why turning laps in a car with no windows at over 120MPH in 30 degree weather is a good thing. LOL Photobucket But when that big ol' 390 is wound up and at full song, all those arguments pale in comparison. That new coat of "Bear Grease" that we got from Bob Colvin really did the trick and made powerslides on asphalt the order of the day. Photobucket The only problem I had today was when I got back to do the photo shoot at the shop. The yard was so crowded that I couldn't get a good angle on the car to get the photos. By the time I put the telephoto lense on and went across the street to try to shoot it that way, the traffic had gotten so bad that I couldn't do that either. Oh well, I guess I'll try again tomorrow when we're closed and I can have the parking lot to myself. Photobucket

you sir definitely need to get out more often. you have went to great extremes her to portray yourself as being at one track when indeed you are truly at another, and also anyone taking their vintage pickup out and using it as a tow vehicle to pull a racecar in this traffic you show in your picture are truly a brave person indeed --also you were in violation with the Ford because you were not using your widow net or hans device as shown in the picture.Otherwise you have staged a great piece of history there with your vehicles and photography, keep it up because things of this manner enjoyed by most if not all here they help us remember all those forgotten----------------------------------------memories

I'm not really sure what you think you've caught me at. I never really mentioned the track (it was the Echoes of Thunder Raceway). I'm not that brave because around here we alwalys use ol' Henry's stuff for what it was designed to do (well maybe the trucks, the cars are used for what Ralph, Smokey, Cotton and the boys sort of "re-designed" them to do) and that's to drive. Some say I should be chased with a net but what the &^%$% is a hans device?I'm happy to know that not only is my work appreciated here but that I can help keep the memories of our heroes fresh in the minds and hearts of all who see it. This is a wonderful place and I'm proud to be a part of it..

Hey Jerry,How about sharing some pictures of that blue camaro # 63 that you keep hidden. It's always good to see some of the old Starlite cars, but you know the 63 is my hero. Thanks,Steve Davis

Thanks Mike. Now Steve, you know that all my Starlite stuff got sold in that divorce auction. Well, except for a few that got misplaced and one or two that wound up "visiting friends", like a certain #71 Camaro that I need to borrow to take some pics of. I'll see what I can do on those #63 pics for you.
