On behalf of the ECFFRA I want to send a BIG thank you to Jeff Gilder, Andy Hillenburg, and all of the staff at Rockingham Motor Speedway for having us down for the Polar Bear 150. Even though the temp. was not the very best for all of us, it was a fantastic day. I really enjoyed seeing everyone and meeting many new folks. This is what we love to do, get out and let everyone see these awesome vintage racing machines. These cars were built to get out and be a part of these shows, not just to come out on race day. Rockingham is an awesome track and it is an honor to get to make laps there. I hope everyone will keep in touch in 2010 and we can plan other events. Great job Jeff on everything you do.

Jeff, there too as Ronda said I came down with my 1968 Mercury Cyclone and it is not a true race car but I had a hoot! Everyone that was associated with the day in any way went out of their way to make it an awesome day. I had a blast on the track and I had not been on the Rockingham track since "open house 1976, then 1977". I would love to bring my car and spend more time on the track. I am new on racers reunion and am not trying to be pushy in regards to opinions. I am unsure if is okay for me to continue correspondence on the stock car racing part as my car is not a true race car. I took it down to Darlington for the Historic Racing Day so I am just getting involved but excited and anxious to be part of the great events you all are trying to schedule. Would there be possiblity getting access to the track not on race day but a scheduled day for all classes of vintage racers to come and play, race, and have fun? That way would not interfere with so much scheduling of regular racing and all of vintage guys would get their opportunity to run more. I saw two guys putting on a show in my rear view mirror. It was worth being there. Great Day. Thank you for the invite. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

this i think is part of the ultimate goal that R/R is shooting for,a place for all to be involved not only to race but to just hang out, meet old and new people, show your ware, flex your muscles(the car now only), have a great car show and show the world what real racecars look like up close and personal,--oh yeah "touching cars is permitted" thats what really creates ------------------------------------------memories Tommy E Hussey said:

Rhonda and Tommy and all of the other car owners and drivers that brought your cars to the Rock I want to say THANKS some of the fans commented that they wish we had made more laps because they were not prepaired to make pictures so they came to the lot and made some.We hope that some of you will come to Mt.Airy in a couple of weeks and to the Legends Helping Legends in March at Memory Lane in Mooresville. You can also plan to come to Hillsborough in August for some laps on the 1 mile dirt track at the famed Occonechee / Orange Speedway with the Old Timers Club. All are listed on the RR event calender. So please come out and support as many of these functions as you can.I hope to see you in a couple of weeks.
