I just want to send a big THANK YOU out to Andy Hillenburg, Robert Ingram, and all the staff at Rockingham Speedway for having us down Saturday July 24th. This was a very hot day to have a race, but you could not tell that from the smiles on the drivers faces. This is a fantastic facility and Robert and his staff made it enjoyable for everyone. The half mile track at the "Little Rock" made for some fast times for these old cars but the only caution that came out was when yours truly had to try to make it (un-successfully) off the track due to engine failure. The old cars ran 20 laps with Johnny Johnson of Tobaccoville, NC winning the Modifieds and Kenneth Tuttle of King NC winning the Sportsman class. Our own Jimmie (Slim Shady) Woodard came in third in the sportsman class. (You go Slim) I also want to thank Jim Wilmore and Louie Hill for making the trip to take some laps with us. I hope that we can go back in the very near future to run again. This was a blast!

The only thing missing in this photo is of the flagman jumping 3 feet in the air with the flag waving. The hay rolls in the back ground give it a nice touch. Thanks for allowing Louie and I the opportunity to race with you all, from what I hear Little Louie Hill is on cloud nine from this return to racing, you've made a couple of guests very happy. Lastly, I was intrigued by the fans clapping as we come off the track, if that don't make one feel what we're doing is making a difference, I don't what does. Thanks for the memories.
