Hello all,I have been working on our family tree and not having much luck finding information about my Uncle Robert. This is what I do know........He was a 3 time AHRA Champion,Open Class Dragster,Cars driven: 55 Chevy, Henry J, 32 Ford, and Corvette-powered MG dragster. He did the AHRA circuit from LA to Daytona Beach, Florida from approx 1960-1967.He was killed in a fatal crash at the Como Drag Strip in Pickton, Texas (just outside of Sulphur Springs, while driving the MG dragster, on June 10, 1967.I have been searching for information about the races he won (3 time champ) and haven't been successful.Any information, links, pictures, etc would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,Linda Halliburton

I have been told he raced in Texas, Oklahoma, and California so far. Will post more as my research continues. I believe one of the Hot Rod magazines used to post race winners in their issues and I would guess it would be between 1962'ish to 1967, but can't afford to purchase so many back issues that I might be able to find.

I have some brief information on him in an entry on my Drag Racer Deaths website. I'd like to add the name of the cemetery where he is buried and a photo of him if you have one. I also like to include photos of his car and grave, too. The URL to my website is: dragstripdeaths.webs.com/Any help appreciated,Mel
