Hi, all. I'm trying to locate an old issue of Hot Rod that featured a 1964 Falcon Sprint that my dad later owned. He thinks the issue was also from 1964, but I can't be 100% sure of that. At the time the car may have belonged to Ed Terry (whom I've also contacted), and apparently it was in the magazine after winning a major race. Shortly thereafter my dad saw it at a race in Florida and bought it on the spot. He raced it for a while in the Southeast (he lived in Southwest Georgia). The car meant a lot to my dad, but he has no photos of it. He's now battling pancreatic cancer, and I'd love to find some photos of the car to surprise him with for his upcoming 70th birthday. When I heard it had been in Hot Rod, I thought the easiest way to find a photo would be to identify the exact issue and try to find a back issue.

The car was a black hard top, and my dad always said it was originally sold at Broadway Motors/Broadway Ford in Oakland, CA. If I could find out more about the car, starting with the photos from Hot Rod, it would really lift his spirits. I'd sincerely appreciate any help you guys might be able to offer. Thank you for your time.

The Hot Rod Yearbook No.4 has the article about Ed Terry's 1964 Falcon that won Street Eliminator. Page 107 has picture and 110 has the article how the won. I do remember the Falcon and seeing it at Broadway Ford.

Stephen: So sorry for the late reply, but thanks for reaching out! A kind member of this forum actually sent me the magazine, but I was just a few days too late and my dad died before he could see it. I'm still interested in finding the car, but I don't really know how to begin. I have some paperwork for it, but it's just specs for the engine. I couldn't find any old registrations or any way to track down owners other than the ones whose names my dad had mentioned over the years. The last owner I could find has no idea what became of the car.

Tammy, Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. Been trying to come up with some names to contact the only ones that I know of is Bob Howe he was the crew chief on the Falcon and Ed Mustangs he might know As where he did not know.Tom Grove built some cars with Ed. My dad told me the Falcon went to Florida and Tom Grove might be in Georgia. Did you try a add in Hemming Motor News? Hope this helps. If I think of any thing else will let you know. Did you see the picture I posted of Ed Terry 1965 Mustang Coup,
