West Virginia International Speedway

Do any of you remember the West Virginia International Speedway near Ona W.Va. ?

Hi Rita : This track was built in the late 60's early 70's between Huntington and Charleston by the Lashkinsy Brothers, ( Lipisan Horses) and Dan Blocker (Bonanza TV series) , It only stayed open a few years. Never really understood why it closed. It drew huge crowds. The speedway is still there, and has weekly races in the summer season. It is a asphalt banked track, on a beautiful level river bottom.
