The Carnegie Museum of Kings County is curating an exhibit based on the Marchbanks (Hanford) Speedway in Hanford California. USAC and NASCAR raced there in the 1950s and 1960s. The exhibit is set to start at the end of July 2021 and run through September 12, 2021. The Marchbanks Speedway exhibition was postponed to November 13th through December 19th.
In addition to Marchbanks materials and objects, we are curating artifacts pertaining to NASCAR and Indy type car racing in the 1950s and 1960s. Of particular interest are helmets, suits, tools, etc. so that we can do then and now exhibits.
