Back in the early days of grinding cams Hot Rod Magazine caught this photo of a cam being ground on the spot or at least being touched up by none other than Ed himself. Any of our elite ever done anthing like this?

this was the caption below the photo and thought it would put a smile or grin on the readers during our off time in racing

"On our way to Bonneville one year, Ed Iskenderian, Ray Brock, Clem Tebow, and I stopped at a little ghost town in the desert. There was nothing there but a few shacks; no people. We found that old grinding wheel, and I told Isky to get a cam out of his truck . This photo was never published because there was no place to run it

Took two broken race motors and turned them into one running one on the tailgate of a pick-up once, at Pocono. About as close to the staged pic as you can get in real life.
