Saturdays ASA race belonged to Larry Macs son UNTIL the last short straightaway. There the car gave its last hurray and ran out of gas. Wonder if could have been planned any different. Was Larry a player in the team?Or was this the age old luck that becomes every racers buddy a few times in their career. Stretching the gas has its problems it seems and now I think all are using the injection system so I dont know if anyone has a stronghold on saving fuel. OR do they, you tell us

I remember being in the Daytona pits and our car having a healthy lead when it ran out of gas at speed mid-race going down the backstretch. Burned piston. Gas mileage was being calculated by a nuclear engineer.
