Nemechek's Finncastle estate up for auction.

Joe Nemechek has taken home trophies at dozens of Nascar series, but selling his multi-million dollar Mooresville property before the real estate market crashed was one race he couldn't win. Nemechek is auctioning off the 139-acre, Finncastle Equestrian Estates, after years of depressed real estate conditions made a traditional sale difficult. The five-week auction period began Friday and will be coordinated by Concierge Auctions. The property, first listed at $10.99 million then $8.4 million, has been on the market since 2009.
