I thought tonites race was a dang good one, I give out a few laps from the end. I was pulling for to many people I guess but Denny settled me down after Tony fell back. Wasnt to bad till 48 started getting close to the front then thats when I had to bump up Denny a notch or two to keep him out front. Yeah I know I was pulling for Jr but he was in the chase and JimmIE was trying to win soooo I crawled on board with Dennie.

The track was different but the top groove started coming in after they polished it but racing was different thats for sure. I thought about setting in the stands tonite but it was packed and the one I saw had the fat lady with the big boy cans in her cooler smoking long Pall Malls, red ones on top of that so you can imagine how that would go over. She was setting so as I would have to look over her to see anything so I opted to stay in my seat----------------------at home no doubt. Hope aal enjoyed it as much as I did. -----------------------------------memories

Reckon I'd have paid real money to see that race. Don't know whether it had anything to do with Bruton's alterations or not, but the excitement level was at a sustained high pitch the entire event.
