Clint Bowyer: Justice Afterall

Although appearing to have lost all hope of title contention after the Phoenix/Jeff Gordon debacle, Clint Bowyer rallied (aided with the surprising Jimmy Johnson story) to finish 2nd in the final Sprint Cup standings. As events played out, it would be the highest possible finish for Bowyer, regardless.

The end of this year has proven...it ain't over til it's over. It has also proven that Jimmie and Chad are in fact human-"like" beings...and they have human-"like" pit crew members.

Makes me think back to Bowyer's previous comments about MWR...before he found out he would be driving for them. That crow is tasting better for him now, I'm sure.

And, speaking of Bowyer, it appears he read the tea leaves dead-on. If he'd remained at RCR, how would his 2012 season played out? Also, remember Bowyer had the 5-Hour Energy sponsorship, but RC was not interested. Convential wisdom, would have frowned on trading RCR for MWR, and one season does not a career make, but Clint did come out on top this season. Is RC too focused on bringing the grandsons along? Does this also explain Kevin Harvick's departure? If so, it won't be the first time. Most would agree that Petty Enterprises could not, and never did successfully integrate Kyle into the family dynasty...with Richard, himself, eventually abandoning PE for Mike Curb. Sure blood is thicker than water, but it don't always pan out the way it's intended.

the rcr thing is a little deeper than what people know - rc himself has more interests now than before - how much money goes into the team is important - you cant just rest on your laurels - remember when dale sr had acouple seasons of trying to play catch up running mid pack - kurt schelmerdine wanted them to stay ahead on technology - rc wanted more money in his pocket - when you get set you can get complacent - then the edge is gone - mwr is hungry now and clint made the right choice for himself - at rcr austin and ty will own that place - no one knows the future - but at rcr blood will be thicker than water .
