As Dodge leaves the building and not to return in 2013 I got to thinking who may or may need to romance them as a team to return to.

It could be a team like Red Dog racing or another wanna be up and coming team owner. Then it hit me who do you suppose is the low man on the totem pole in GM.

Hendricks is the top dog with Gm and S/H is using their stuff exclusively. As bad as I dont want to say it Richard Childress hasnt had a positive move for him in a while,a long while.

So could RCR be the gift that brings Dodge back ? He is losing all the old drivers to other teams and what better way to jump start the two Dillon drivers than in the new Dodge. He has the motor shop and Dodge has a power house motor, you did see that this year didnt you. Chassis are as you want them and bodies, Richard is the king on tweeking a body for what he wants.

Now what do yall think, am I nuts or what... boy I opened myself up there didnt I.

Johnny, you are lucky to have friends in high places who have a great eye for color coordination!

An interesting theory, Johnny. Using the word "Hemi" and "Childress" in the same sentence sure seems awkward. Then, again, it also seemed awkward for the first time in 1969 to say "Ford" and "Petty" in the same sentence, as I'm certain our own Legend will attest.

So, when Richard Petty Motorsports finally goes back to Dodge, maybe we could resurrect this product as a sponsor for the #43??

However, at the current time, I'm afraid this is as close as that team shall get to a halo or an angel:

I've been a fan of Richard Petty for over 35 years, but I've never viewed him in an angelic way. He may be the King - but he ain't no saint. Having said that, my mother wasn't so sure that perhaps I HAD crossed the line back in the 80s when I had this vanity plate on my car.

I had to reassure her I was simply doing a mash-up of his sponsor and his last name. I didn't intend for anyone to read it as St. Petty. I added the small STP decal to my plate in an effort to avoid confusion from others.
