Okay, let me say I havn't been on here as much as I planned on. I do hope though, that I continue on doing these blog posts. So, I hope you enjoy them, cause they'll be a lot more coming.
When the Cup drivers raced at Indy Motor Speedway, they had the lowest crowd they had ever had. The seats usually filled around 370,000 people, where this time it was at 170,000 people filled. (rough estimate) Why would that happen? I booked my tickets for Michigan a week before the race, and I still got great seats. It wasn't even filled up. From the past till now, NASCAR races have not been having as much fans there. Let's face the fact, all sports are going down right now, including football. The economy is one of the reasons everything is dropping. NASCAR did the change from no head gear, to the helmets to the hands device. They went from the normal cars to the Spoilers and COT. They went from bad barriers, to very strong and stable barriers when you crash. So NASCAR has made many improvments, but they have to step it up again. A few days ago in the paper, (i think a few days ago, or a few weeks) all the NASCAR officials were teaming up and talking on how they can improve NASCAR. No changes have been made yet, but I assume their in process. One thing no doubt, is the pit passes and food you can get there, Plus at Michigan, you can drive your own car around the track! So there's more than one side to it. One reason is all the Paul Menard, Brian Vickers, Elliot Sadler etc..fans are all not coming out to the races, because there drivers always finish in the back, so what's the point. They need to have everybody equal to make it fair, and have more winners. That will bring up the sport more, and bring more fans to the races. Either way, it is up to NASCAR as to what will happen next. What are the changes to next year? Everybody is entiled to an opinion, and this is mine. Everybody feel free to say what you want, I look forward to hearing what you have to say.
Thanks!
