Kenny Remington - #72 passed (Norman Remington's son)

Hello, friends. Been awhile since I posted but wanted to update ya'll  on Kenny. Kenny was the Limited Stock car champion at Orange County Speedway in 2000 - #72. He is the son of the one and only Norman Remington - #69 & #72. Below is a copy of his obituary and it would please his father, children and me if you could all come by and pay your respects on Saturday.

Kenneth L. Remington May 19, 1966 - January 31, 2017

Kenny passed away at Duke University after complications related to chronic illness.
He was known in his youth for excelling at sports. Particularly football and wrestling.
He made friends easily at Northern High and Orange High school and never met a stranger.
He followed in his father's footsteps and became a champion in Limited Model Stock racing at Orange County speedway where he had many fans and was known to always to put on a spectacular show. His race team was his second family. Special thanks to Benny Russ, Dave Jorgenson, Vernon Riley, Junior Richardson, Robbie Allen, Tony Lassiter, Pat Bunch, Billy Barnhill, Larry Lassiter and Don Teasley and his many generous sponsors for helping him fulfill his dream. .


Kenny is preceded in death by his mother Brenda Gravitte and grandmother Gladys Wilkins.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Remington, son Kenny Remington Jr. and wife Amber, son Baxter Remington and wife Lorraine, father Norman Remington and wife Diane, his sister Kimberly Foster, Nephew Eric Truscott and niece Lanie Parham, and step father Monty Gravitte.
He has three grandchildren, Brenden, Evan and Robynn . Also he lived long enough to see his newest 4th grandchild, Jordynn , born within hours of his death.

American Cremation Service is handling his cremation and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday February 4th for 2:00 - 6:00 at Gorman Ruritan Club 2309 E. Geer St. Durham 27704.
