August 8th was a great career day for King Richard. He won four times on 8-8 over the span of nine years. (I guess you could say he won a 5th time on 8-8 by winning his 7th GN / Cup title over Darrell Waltrip's #88 team in 1979!)

I blogged about each of Richard's 4 wins on August 8, 2011. These were written when I first started my blog series about Richard's 200 wins. My thought initially was to let the blogs almost write themselves with articles and personal anecdotes from others. So as you'll see, some of these are pretty thin on content.

One thought I've had is to refresh them over time as I learn more about each race, surface new photos, hear new stories, etc. But for now, here is a re-run rundown of Ol' Blue's four Aug 8 victories.
