Picture Hunt

We are searching for a photo of my first GN win at Oxford Plains, ME in August 1966. We would love to see what the trophy looks like so we can determine which one we have that might be it. If you have it, or know someone who does, we would love to see it and if possible have a copy. Please let us know by posting the information here on my profile page on Stock Car RacersReunion.

I have emailed some friends on mine that have raced in Oxford for many years. Some of them in the media in the area including one who just wrote a book about the Busch North Series. We'll find you a pic!

I thought i read about 15 or 18 years ago in Winston Cup News paper where Bobby got that Trophy back i thought i read where he let the track oner or some body keep it because he did not have room in his truck at the time

I found this and it's caption said Allison 1966 Nascar Victory....maybe someone can shed more light if this is the correct photo they are looking for.

Bobby...long time racing history fan steve pellerin in Maine. I was recently given an enormous collection of scrap books & programs about Oxford Plains Speedway 1964 to 2005, from the Downing Family who worked at the track for years. I'll look through the programs & scrap books to see what I can find...if anything. Hopefully I can figure out how to post a picture or better yet if need be I'll be glad to mail something to you sir. I may also have a few duplicate programs of that race from back then if you would like one...Thank you for what you & your Family have done for racing. Steve Pellerin

Hi Folks Steve Pellerin in Maine just an update, recently went thru my Oxford scrapbooks from the 60's....no shots of Bobby in victory lane at Oxford or from the local papers on microfiche...for some reason only photos of his car or a portrait pic...a check of the weekly program from Oxford Plains Speedway for that GN race has an introduction from Bob Bahre on the 2nd page and a photo of the winner's trophy. I've sent a duplicate program from my collection to the Allison Family. steve
