Larry Moore showed up at Myrtle Beach, unexpectdedly, in the late '70's. He was in another zip code, or at least that was the reports. I missed that race, and have regretted it ever since!

Met Larry when they ran the NDRA race at Gaffney SC in the early eighties. Really cool guy. He just couldn't get over the fact that we had built an HO scale 4/10 mile "dirt" oval slot track and that we were running the same kind of cars. I built the bodies out of sheet plastic and they were leftside weighted, hand lettered, about two inches long and could cut a lap on that track in three seconds. Here's one of the cars that I showed him. Wonder why he liked it best?
