We often used to land at the Ontario airport for the Riverside races in the 80s rather than LAX because we could get better flights back in the day. You'd drive right by the abandonned front stands heading to Riverside from Onrtario. Eerie.

One of the good things that happened at Atlanta, even before the track was reconfigured, was the change that kept cars from hitting that backstretch dirt berm that Grant Adcox hit.
Ironically, less than a month before the Atlanta race, on October 22, 1989, Dale Earnhardt taped this short piece with Eli Gold to try to help Grant and Herb Adcox obtain sponsorship for 1990.

Thanks for all the good stuff, Chase. I "believe" this footage is actually from the 1976 Permatex 200 won by Bobby... not certain, though. He is listed winning in a #2 Camaro in 1974 and #12 AMC in 1976.
