Roxboro Paper: Larry Thomas Feature Winner at Roseville Speedway April 23,1960
Roxboro race drivers dominated all events reeled off at the Roseville Speedway sunday afternoon.Larry Thomas copped the sportsman feature in the four-event card offered to a large crowd of fans.
In the first heat race Roxboro drivers came in one,two and three.G.B.Holt was first across line and was followed by Larry Thomas and Alton Thomas.In the second heat it was Roy Murphy of Durham,Benny Davis of Burlington,Mac Mangum of Roxboro.
Following Larry Thomas in 30 lap feature event was Holt and Mangum.In the Hobby feature Gene Porterfield of Durham was first,with Wayne McGhee of Hillsboro second and Kirk Chandler of Roxboro on third.
Races will be held at Roseville Speedway every Sunday afternoon.The field of cars is expected to get larger as drivers begin to get them into shape for summer racing,
