Roxboro Paper: Durham Driver wins feature at Roseville May 5, 1960
A Durham driver captured the feature race last sunday afternoon at Roseville Speedway here edging out Roxboro's Mac Mangum,Clayton Shull,also of Roxboro finished in third place.
G.B.Holt,of Roxboro was first across the line in the opening heat followed by Murphy.In the hobby race Gene Porterfield of Durham drove his No,36 to win just ahead of Merritt Foushee of Roxboro.Dewey Lawrence of Burlington was third.
Owen Burch of Roxboro ran into plenty of trouble in his first race.He wrecked his new car when only a few laps had been run.
