Roxboro Paper : Benny Davis wins feature race at Roseville August 25,1960
Benny Davis of Haw River won feature race at Roseville Speedway last night in a thrilling finish.Frank Massey of Mebane led in the feature for 47 laps when Davis over took him and the two finished with less than three feet between bumpers.The two will be on the track at Roseville again sunday afternoon.
Bernie Massey of Mebane came in third,with Bill Hall of Haw River fourth and Bunk Nichols of Greensboro fifth.
Davis won first heat of the Sportsman events,with Bernie Massey second and Mac Mangum of Roxboro third.
Frank Massey took first in the second heat,followed by Bill Hall of Haw River and Pal Buckner of Burlington.
Wayne McGhee of Hillsboro won the hobby feature,followed in order by Red Justice of Burlington,Gene Porterfield of Durham,and Joe Campbell of Roxboro.
