I'll keep asking & hope to get an answer. Still looking for a reason why Petty Enterprises, Chrysler, Buddy, etc. chose to run #11 for the 2nd Petty car vs. something in the 40s as they traditionally had done.

i do know this in 1971 chrysler cut other teams .the only teams got held from chrysler was petty and k&k insurance dodge
