believe it or not my mom and dad ran the track from 69, 70 ,71,also ran the dragstrip up above the speedway .we lived in a mobile home in the pit area .i have alot of fond memories,of that era.lynn warlaw was announcer then at the track and the dragstrip.my uncle bobby miller was the founder of the dragstrip,i also worked at the dragstrip when it was1/4 mile track,i reameber,bobby brooks who drove a 32 english ford called halve breed.i can see me now putting either bleach,or joy dish soap for the drivers to do their burn outs.my dads name was jerry or gearld burtron,some knew him as jerry some knew him as gearld.my mom worked conncessions and my dad ran the ticket booth and kept the grounds up at the speedway.
