The driver of the Turkey Barnes #16 Cliff's Drive-In Chevelle Late Model at Wilson County Speedway in the early-mid-70s was the incomparable Farmer John Matthews of Raleigh who drove wearing bib overalls.
I took this photo in the mid/late seventies. I was about 15. I'm surprised to find it here after looking up S.J. on Google.
I wasn't looking to find this photo, in fact I forgot that I had uploaded it years earlier to a vintage modified forum. I've been surprised a few times when looking for old heroes and coming across photos that I've forgotten that I had posted.
