Mini Bike Raffle to Benefit Focus Motorsports Ministries

ARCA Fan Fest at Toledo Kicks off Thursday
TOLEDO OH (8-30-06) - As The Andersons ARCA Fan Fest, presented by Wolverine Boots and Shoes draws nearer, more and more activities are being added to the event.

Country Joe Racing, which fields the ARCA RE/MAX Series stock cars for rookie driver Blake Bjorklund, is sponsoring a raffle to benefit Focus Motorsports Ministries.

The Minnesota based Country Joe Racing team has donated a “Mini-Chopper” mini bike to serve as the top prize for the Focus Motorsports Ministry raffle.

"We feel very strongly about the service Bill and Diana Krick provide to the ARCA community,” commented Dick Melius, Team Manager for Country Joe Racing. “The opportunity to help him in this effort is our pleasure.”

Focus Motorsports Ministries has served the ARCA RE/MAX Series since 1996. In June 2002, the ministries primary sponsor (due to financial restraints) could no longer provide financial assistance to keep this ministry at the track, at which point Bill and Diana incorporated Focus Motorsports Ministries for the purpose of continuing to serve the ARCA community.

“We sure appreciate the support of Mr. Joe Miller. Mr. Dick Melius and the entire Country Joe Racing team,” commented Bill Krick of Focus Motorsports Ministries. “We look forward to another great Fan Fest at Toledo Speedway.”

Tickets for the raffle will be available all evening during the 2nd Annual All-ARCA Fan Fest, with the drawing scheduled to take place at around 8:00pm. The Andersons Fan fest runs from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, August 31.

Note: Anyone listening or watching ?    It's easier to do this piece as an Timeline>>Feedback than as a discussion forum? In the discussion forum mode the words and photos would be flying to the right too much and you would only see 1/2 half of what you have posted?  I hope I can find the old way of using the discussion forum mode?

HELP! I'm lost on the new layout. At least on my mobile device. The three bars in the upper left that would usually in websites usually have the drop-down to navigate. Mine does nothing. My groups and friends are gone. Along with anyone or thing I followed.

Is there an accessible help page, so I can try and learn these things myself?

Not just you Dennis. Site hasn't worked well on mobile devices for some time - at least not on my iPad. Perhaps others with Microsoft Surface Pro or other tablets have had better luck. I've only been able to use the site with my laptop. So far, I've been able to use Firefox and Chrome browsers equally well.

=============================================================

I'm using an 7" RCA tablet with Chrome browser for my internet.

On this website, when I used the "Portrait" screen and "see the tablet screen in vertical position" you will see the "3 bars" on top left side and "3 square boxes" on top right side.

When I click on the "3 bars" and get the site map legend with "Home", "Activity", and so on.

On this website, when I used the "Auto-rotate" screen or "see the tablet screen in horizontal position" you will not see "3 bars" but you will see the "RacersReunion" logo and "3 square boxes on top left side.  You will see "3 vertical dots on top right side.

When you click on " 3 vertical dots" on top right side, you will get the Chrome legend with "Desktop site" empty box.

After you Click on "Desktop site" you see the whole "RacersReunion" website page except for the "3 bars on top left side".

Hello I am Brandon C. Rumph and I am relatively new to racing history. I am from the Augusta, GA area and am the Vice President of Augusta International Raceway Preservation Society. My connection to racing history is through my cousin Joe Rumph. For those unfamiliar with Joe`s story. He got his start in NASCAR by building Cotton Owens`s, Buck Baker`s and Charlie Rush`s engines when they drove for FJ Bland. Then in 1952, when Buck went to the NASCAR Speedway Division, Joe built his engine. Buck would win the race at Darlington as well as the inaugural championship that year. Then in 1956, for one race he built Junior Johnson`s engine. This one race just so happened to be the beach race where Junior went flipping. He then went to Holman Moody and stayed there til he retired sometime in the 70s. He was the cam grinder at HM and got Larry Wallace hired on there. I never got to meet Joe due to him dying in 1986. That was 14 years prior to my birth
