Hickory Speedway Dirt Track

I was born in 1951, the year the track was built. As a teenager, I begged my Dad to take me to the track to sell popcorn or score so I could get in free. The track was dirt then. I remember the pit wall being formed for concrete, but the concrete was not poured in time for the Saturday night race. A car spun on the fourth turn and splintered the first 20 or 30 feet of the new wood form for the pit wall. Does anyone remember the driver? Please share other stories or share photos.

Is there a list of tracks available? Like to get to one from Ohio if I can.
