Domain Changes

Just in case you have your email notifications from the site turned off...and did not receive the email to all members I sent this morning, here it is:

Please note we have just completed a domain mapping project that may affect how you have our sites bookmarked or cached. Here is the run-down:

The Open Wheel RacersReunion site has not been changed yet...having an issue there, but that change will occur and will change as:

Essentially we have dropped the .ning from our domains and moved all sites under racersreunion.com . This will accomplish the task of having google and other search engines recognize our combined existence and strength.

All sites still have individual logins as before...no change there...wish I could combine that, but that is not possible at this time.

If you had the old domains bookmarked...just re-bookmark the new ones.

If you were relying on your cache to "remember" you on login...just reboot your computer and clear out your cache and re-check the "remember me" prompt.

Oh...I already knew I would catch it from you! So, far, so good though. The only complaints have been having to re-login. My biggest worry are broken links, so if you find any let me know. Kinda cool...in the first three hours after the re-map and re-assigning the google analytic code to all sites, we have had visitors from over 200 different cities in 15 countries who looked at over 10,000 pages. Although the new google package is supposes to be real-time, I still suspect it is somewhat behind. But, I'm having fun watching the results. I no longer have to add up all the different (from 7 sites) analytics to do a RacersReunion report!!

I suspect Nexus will like those results.
