I was very priviledged today to attend a screening of the University of South Carolina Media Arts Documentary efforts. There were 17 very entertaining, some thought provoking, some funny, and some sad, presentations by the Media Arts Class of Professor Kissell. I was there at the invitation of RacersReunion Member J. Alex Whitt, who, with Bobby and Stephanie, did a documentary on the Historic Columbia Speedway. There are no words capable of doing justice to that presentation so I can only hope that Alex may post the presentation to the site and everyone will be able to see what afine job those young folks did. As much as it means to us to preserve the history of the sport of stock car racing the way it should be, we can only be very greatful to young folks like these who make the effort to do such fine work.

Thank you, Alex, for what you all did, and please stay active on the site. We need folks like you around here!

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

Patricia Kathleen huh !! only when the fan was going to be hit with something huh?? Thats good fodder for the bank of the future.

Now to the good stuff, Tim I commend you with the work you do tomorrows leaders and hope for their continuance on allowing you to fill their head with the knowledge of the past as we saw it. Some of the remarkable doings you,and R/R members, have seen can only be conveyed by word of mouth because no one would believe it if it was in print.. The Legend is still the voice of relevance still ......

Thanks for posting that Jeff. I think anyone who watches it will have the satisfaction of knowing there are some fine young folks out there who care about the history and heritage of the sport. These young people did, in my opinion, an excellent job. Johnny, thanks for your kind words but I can assure you that I had NOTHING to do with this. Those young folks did it all themselves. I attended the screening and am really impressed with this folks all the way around.
