BAD BOY Brad did just that . He started off out of the trailer and on the first lap of practice he was kissing the wall. Now when you pull a Martinsville off top shelf and put a gear in it and win the race on a mile and half track you are way up on the wheel. And with it being as hot as it was he looked in fine shape there at the end. Do you suppose he may have turned the AC on in the car today? With the way that Dodge is running I cant see the upside of moving to Ford. The new saying is DODGE, Domestically imported from Michigan for you!!!

Fell asleep on the couch with less than 15 laps to go wondering if there was enough fuel on board that mighty Miller Lite lightning bolt! When I awakened TNT's programming had long since reverted to something that drove me straight to the bedroom.

I was awake when Tony the Pony and his mount once again proved his team (or Hendrick's engine building subsidiary) hasn't figured out something regarding that EFI.

I was happy to hear that Brad won. Thought it was a pretty uneventful, boring race. Little action or close quarters racing. That track just doesn't seem to promote long term exciting side-by-side and nose-to-tail racing.

Two things struck me about the telecast:

1) The announcement by Denny Hamlin that he had re-upped a long term deal with Joe Gibbs and FedEx 15 months before his current contracts expired.

2) The Bristol Motor Speedway commercial trying to sell tix to the August night race. The ad proclaims that the track didn't listen to drivers, crew or teams, but only to the fans to bring them a track the fans wanted. Well, they didn't ask this fan. I still want ASPHALT.

Good for Brad. One of my favorites. Yes Johnny I know he drives a Dodge and not a Ford. Really doesn't matter. I just like the guy. Then my other favorite, Carl Edwards, NO he is not a "Duck Boy," just can't buy a break this year. Bad timing on pit stops and had to give up 3rd for 20th on a last minute fuel stop. He drives a Ford. My other favorite driver, Dale Jr, everybody knows he drives a Chevy.

Again TNT. An awful broadcast. Yeah I know you don't care. You just want your share of the pie and then some with all of the commercials that you run. Poor--AWFUL!!!!.

You're right, Tommie - the former "Duck Boy" you cheer wasn't even "Fertilizer Boy." He turned into the UPS "Delivery Boy," but Denny Hamlin's delivery service outraced him Saturday night. When I saw that ugly UPS brown color, I felt like Dale Jarrett should have been lurking in the shadows.

I, too, however, like Cousin Carl. He's a talented driver and extremely well spoken.
