With all the shoulda--woulda--coulda but didnt that happened in Hotlanta last nite all yall just set there memorized with Denny struttin his stuff driving Studebaker.(sounds better than toy auto) Truex was sceduled to win but no bottles or tin cans were on the track so blow a tire trick solved that. You ever noticed how conveniently one will blow out of the blue? So does that shake up the deal or not. Everyone was close on gas,the ones that counted anyway, so the rush to the pits for a splash of gas and what the heck tires ensued. Jeffro was trying but Dennies crew were on the game. Truex wasnt as good on those last two laps(thats all a green white checker is) so it was a chevy chasing a Studebaker for the win. Now the chase is really shook up now and this puts all sorts of its gotta happen at Richmond into the picture. Only way to suggest the outcome is to waiit n see. It was a good race, there have been worse this year , for the fans but next Saturday nite will bring the good, bad, and ugly out of a bunch of the good ole boys. Them goat herders will have good bunch of things that maybe ot not happened to debate over tuesday --unless the popcorn gets to salty. THey will have to send out for more brown bottle soda then . the dude in the cave will remark on something very interesting also. Any one care to name the latest on the lost ghost that Bopper will elude to?? The pool hall hustler will come on with a version of the new Jimmy Show (I know you can figure that out)... But all through this Devin will do her drum solo and crusty Jack will spin another salty blast from the beachy past. Now between all this there will be something surely that will be of interest to flair up on the chat to be debated along with an almost guaranteed installment on the "Lily Chronicles" Dave may introduce a spin off of The Dusty Levis of yesteryear. So now everyone can set back and prepare for the ---TUESDAY NITE LIVE --- with host Jeffro ,a close friend with the Reverend Stagger as was described on the tube way back when!!

Watch highlights of Denny Hamlin's win at Atlanta.

Rea said this about Sun nite too

The NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup field is becoming increasingly clear now.

NASCAR heats up Atlanta.

With one race before the field is set, nine drivers have locked in based on their points positions. Greg Biffle, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. had already clinched spots in the Chase entering the AdvoCare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday. Matt Kenseth, Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin , Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick earned spots in the field with their runs in Atlanta. And Tony Stewart, who has won three races this season, has locked up at least a wild-card spot with those victories.

Putting Truex and Bowyer in the field made Sunday night a little easier for Michael Waltrip Racing, a team dealt the crushing disappointment of having Truex in position to win until a late caution cost him. Truex led 40 laps and had more than a two-second edge before the caution came out. Then the field pitted, Hamlin took the lead on pit road and Truex settled for fourth. Now you have another womans take on the chase??

Well, I started to opine and wonder how many laps a certain driver in a green car would have been down had it not been for that "wave around" deal, but decided it would be more laps than I wanted to count. That entire stable seemed to have issues last night.

Next week will be in a bull ring so I imagine there will be a good bit of huffin and puffin going on before the nite is through.

Those Studebakers do have a strong powerplant and the pilots are good to but Richmond will put them shoulder to sboulder. There all brands in the chase and all out side looking in --Same with the drivers, there some great drivers hung out to dry this year so whats the deal, is it money, status, security, pressure to excel, or is it just plain ole nerves rattled. I only wonder. Dave you been on the owners side before,is it over there??

Hey Chase, that is a great picture of you up there in the high places! Too high for me. Too afraid of heights. Johnny, you gave a good outline of what I think we can expect come Saturday night in Richmond. Should be very interesting to see how that race turns out. I am thinking that Jeff and Carl may wreck themselves out of the event trying to hard. As for Kyle Busch, never know what he will accomplish. Should be a good event and I would expect they will sell a bunch of tickets to that one. If not, then the sport is in much more trouble than I even imagined.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.
