Looks like the guy to your right is feeling a bit sorry for you...or is he challenging you to a game?
ma you using the house stick?? or is that an electric score keeper in your hand? so i see wild bill is at the helm of this escapade
Mama, I've been called much worse and wanted to fire you up a bit.lol.....I still say we had a great time and next year will be better.......that is IF you'll still go with me....
uh-oh now i see and 9 ball is the game
sold it to JEFRO?? now he will use it to work his advance on the movement in the goat rodeo, but wait that could be a good thing knowing the reverend stagger hangs out there on occasion ,why you could become a person of great importance far and wide.
Heck the pool halls may ask for your autograph on a race flyer
JM, It wasnt the language that shocked my innocent ears.....It was the fact that after the third hit on the shine Jar she was shooting with the stick backwards and complaining about the chalk not sticking to the tip...but she was a trooper and hung in there and I was proud of her...knows her cars too.
I absolutely LOVED this! You were so in your element Mama!! Bill, thank you so much for taking Mama....she needed this! So, glad ya'll had a great time! And, Bossman so far as that guy on the left....he might have been looking for a "Cougar"...but Mama would have been TOO wild for him! Run along....little boy!!! LOL!!
Lol
Perhaps we can take up a collection to hire this guy to work withpkl on her 9 ball break before next year's Mountain Moonshine festivities!
Not with me you won't, lol! When the billiards playing talent was passed around, I must have been in the back room. House cue, million dollar cue... they all work the same for me.
That my dear is the proud owner of the establishment you so elegantly posed in front of. His name is Gordon Pirkle. Ask Cody about him and you may just be pleasantly surprised ..
Yup.....Gordon is a legend. He's been like a grandfather to me since I met him about 6 years ago. He is not only the 45+ year owner of the Dawsonville Pool Room, but he is also the CEO of the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame. If not for Gordon...first off, I probably wouldn't know a dang thing about Raymond Parks or any Dawsonville history other than Bill Elliott. Gordon was also one of two people that wanted to preserve Ga. racing history and started brainstorming about a museum in the the mid 90's.
Gordon is almost 76 years old, but he works harder than anyone I've ever met! Most nights, he'll leave Dawsonville (whether its the Pool Room or from the museum) well after midnight....just trying to improve. Most days, he opens up at the museum and stays there, giving tours and talking to people or working on something.
So Pkl....I hope you don't have a need to ask that question any more.
-Cody
Ya'll better leave Mama alone....I'm sure she's had this sung about her, a few times!! LOL ~Doorstep Baby~
Nobody had to tell me, Mama....guess I got all this knowledge....when you "inherited" me....LOL!!! Just giving them fair warning...LOL
You m'Lady are a piece of work whether you are hanging out at the pool hall trying hard not to look like a hustler or keeping the fire hot at the goat rodeo. I knew you were something special when you first busted through the doors at the local Tuesday nite show. Besides you kinda knowing what racing really spells you could talk the talk and walk the walk. I love debating you on occasion over our history.
And this headline is news?
"Defenseless Old Lady" MY ARSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I second what the Legend said.... Defenseless Old Lady... HUH? If PK Lilley is Defenseless than Attila The Hun was a Boy Scout!!!!!!!!!
Good to see you back on the board Tim......
