If NASCAR is so darned sensitive about racism and the use of old southern symbols, etc., what's up with them allowing many of the songs drivers use during their introductions at Bristol? Tell me some of these song titles don't denigrate the NASCAR brand.

At least I know and remember that one, Johnny. I'm not up to date on my gangsta and hip-hop, though.

Although it wasn't released until 1969, I love to hear the P.A. play Credence Clearwater Revival's "Bad Moon Rising" during the pace laps of any night race.

It's only racist if they say it is. Period. End of Discussion. Do you wish to be suspended for two weeks?

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

now you know why some of us used to race under different names.. fines over suspensions vs flat getting thrown out or worse yet getting escorted completely out of the town or county-- yup thats happened too. i could put names to a few incidences and they are here on R/R

Since NASCAR just recently passed out a penalty for inappropriate remarks to Jeremy Clements, it seemed odd to me that songs with titles like "Pretty Fly for a White Guy" are being used to intro drivers just two weeks later. Oh, well. Somebody is always offended these days.

I'll repeat my original question from the initial post:

Tell me some of these song titles don't denigrate the NASCAR brand.

I have no problem with the songs you mention.

Why be so nasty?
