Some of us wanted another face to claim the clock but it didnt happen that way.. In the end Jimmie had the charm on his side but have to give underdog Clint credit,he drove it way in time after time there at the end..

Wrecks were as usual sheetmetal galore with only a couple of incidents.

Did you see Kurt? I do believe he is trying to be the guy he wasnt for awhile.

Danica ended up in 12th which is way better than the oddsmakers gave her so there may be help for yet,she passed Tony...

Jr was playing pinball wizard it looked like, even said excuse me a time or two.

And Kyle was trying --I will say that much..

All in all it was a great race with none of the drama we thought would play out, Tony calls him a rich little kid But that boy called Joey is holding that Bullseye up high still for some to take aim at..

Traffic jam Several top NASCAR Sprint Cup contenders find trouble on a midrace restart.

Before I forget it, I was impressed with the job the underhood fire suppression system on Kurt Busch's #78 Furniture Row ride did when it was activated.

I chuckled in pre-race when Bad Brad almost said the "D" word... (shhhhhh- Dodge!) during his interview.

The Double-J Ranch 5-Time fella definitely had 'em all covered when the time came.

Several tried the bullseye today, but a number of others besides Tony's rich kid seemed to have one painted on their rear bumpers, too.

Enjoyed seeing that GoForward Gal lean on both old boss DJr. and new boss, The Smoking Pony/Tiger today. She wasn't giving any quarter in the closing laps.

That guy whose wife used to wear the firesuit seemed to be telling the guy with the red beard sumpin after the checkers. Guess it got a little crowded coming off turn 4. Or maybe he has a crush on Ricky's squeeze and was just looking out for her?

A lot of goofs on pit road today... you'd have thought it was the first race of the year.

Was surprised to see Mark's 10th place in the FedEx ride as much as he struggled most of the race... on and off the track.

Rocket Man's weekly track trick of firing and going after the caution finally flew didn't work too good. I didn't even know the Nastycar Officials had a 3-Lap penalty in their bag of tricks.

And, how about 5-time putting Junior a lap down near the end rather than let him come down the track and go? Interesting move by a teammate.

The last 100 laps certainly got exciting. Seems the Goodyear "Green" tire didn't lay down much rubber on the concrete so they said.

Big change next time going to Cow Town.

Good wrap up Johnny. Good assessment overall Dave. Dave, like you, I was very impressed with the fire suppression system on the 78 car. What a wonder safety innovation. As for the 3 lap hold on Rocket Man, I was somewhat incensed by that. He couldn't get the car down to the pits with the traffic the way it was. At least next time, he gets a choice of which car he wants to take out when he cuts down across the track.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

I too was very impressed with the way that fire went out. I was surprised to hear Bootie Barker last night say that It was the radiator hose burning thru and the water gushed out and put out the flames. There is a 10# bottle with a heat activated switch in the trunk near the gas tank and a 5# bottle that is driver activated in the drivers area .

Thanks for the update, Bill. Is it still Halon that is used or another agent these days?

Dave, Some teams still use the Halon type media and I still use that type.Nascar just this year approved the Fire Trak System which uses a new media Novec 1230 from 3M. This new stuff is a safe sustainable chemistry which is being pushed to replace the ozone depleting substances because of Toxicity . It has an Ozone depletion rating of zero. I know that Greg Biffle uses it in the 16 car.

I always remember one driver telling another to try not to breathe in the Halon. Thanks, Bill.
