The core group of early stock car racers and fans continues to dwindle with the inevitable aging process. I used to sit at the dairy bar on Saturday night at Curles Neck Dairy in Richmond on Roseneath Road in Scott's Addition as a youngster and watch those "jalopies" - as my parents called them, being towed by to Mooer's Field Speedway at the end of the street in the early 50s after Eddie Mooers' baseball team ceased playing there and the AAA team began at Parker Field on The Boulevard.

R.I.P. Mr. Ramsey & Mr. Henley. Thoughts & prayers to your family.

On Wished List:

Wishing somebody with money and Virgina auto racing knowledge would get with Dementi Studios - Richmond, Va. and update their "AUTO RACING PHOTO ARCHIVE" into Virginia Auto Racing Photo Books.

Dementi Studios - Richmond, Va. has tons of old auto racing photos that don't have the information on the dates, race tracks, race drivers, race car owners or names of the race.

Thanks for any information or photos posted.
