If you are like me, you rarely visit NASCAR.com site anymore. Its just too tough to navigate and rarely has stories I care about. But there are exceptions. And here is one. A couple of weeks ago, David Caraviello wrote a pretty cool article about Timmy Petty - one of Maurice's sons.

Can you identify the three Maurice Petty's sons in photo.

What is other two sons, Mark Petty and Richie Petty racing history??

About a year before Lee Petty and Adam Petty death, I send letters to Adam Petty, Kyle Petty, Lee Petty, Maurice Petty, Richard Petty, and Richie Petty, asking for autograph photo from each one of them.
One day I received by US Mail a special baseball card sized group photo card of all above with their signed autographs on it.
I think the special baseball card sized group photo card also had Dale Inman, Austin Petty, Montgomery Lee Petty, Mark Petty, and Timmy Petty signed autographs on it.
Problem is as soon as received something like this, I put in a box for safe keeping and ten years later, I forget where the box is!!

Does anyone have a copy this "special baseball card sized group photo card" and post it here.

Thank you very much for any information or photos posted.

Timmy's full name is Timothy Wayne Petty. My middle name is also Wayne. I used to jokingly tell everyone that Maurice named his son after me as I was always aggravating Maurice almost as much as I aggravated Richard. That was always a good "around the campfire in the infield" story. Oh, by the mid seventies, I had hundreds of those "around the campfire" stories, most of which were true but just as unbelievable as the story about Maurice naming his son after me.Thanks to so many people who have been in my life through racing, I have had the most incredible experiences. For the past five (or has it been six) years,my involvement withRacers Reunion has allowed me to be apart of racing I always dream of. So, maybe Maurice didn't name Timmy after me, but it was a good story at the time.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.
