A conversation I overheard today while at Lowes

The conversation was over in the tool dept where a poster of Jimmie Johnson was placed looking like he was in the corner behind a toolbox.

But the conversation was not about J.J. but about a video one of the guys saw today on Facebook. He was in his 60s and was a race fan by the way he described the video he had watched. He had went to Oglethorpe speedway park and it seems as the car count was not up to his expectations. He in turn referred to a couple of videos he had just watched and described them as more dang old modifieds at a dirt track called Dublin Speedway or something like that than Oglethorpe has in late models. I asked him if he remembered where they were from, and he said it was a club or group from a Bell co. or something like that. I asked him if it was Bell & Bell out of South Carolina. and he lit up saying yeah you know of them?

I give him the short version of Bobby Williamson and told him to look him up on Racers Reunion.

But what he wanted to know was how they have such a high car count. I give him another short version of the group and then I floored him with this-- there is no purse money but only a point system that has advantages at the end of the year.

After I left Lowes I came home and sure enough there was not one but several short videos posted of the Dublin race.

Bobby should be real proud of where he has took this from I think 3 cars to a field of cars .. watch this video and go hunt the others on face book unless they are posted on R/R. I was plum proud to associated with this. WAY TO GO BOBBY

Johnny, The night I went with them to Myrtle Beach Speedway on June 20th,2013 we had 20-22 cars and had a blast. They are a wonderful group and well organized. I recommend you get busy and get your ride up there asap. lol......They had more cars than any other class of cars there that night.

Yes Sir! Bobby is doing a great job for sure. But remember, he would be nothing without Hugh Ovalcrash.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

It doesn't hurt having The very Righteous Rev. Stagger keep an eye on things, along with Ms. Patsy of course.

Thank you Johnny!! You are correct, we race for the fun of it, no purse money, just the fun of doing it. And at every track we've been to this season (Carolina Speedway, Dublin, Fayetteville, Myrlte Beach) we've had the largest car count!
