A little over a year ago I ran across a site on the internet that caught my attention, litterly!! I was actually tracking down a car in North Carolina that was for sale. This site address popped up as a source of information for the car in question so I entered it and was amazed at the information I immediately saw before me.Now who is this person on the beach of North Carolina that has started this site,so off I go to dig up information on this person.Well I found a ton of information on a guy with a mentor of great knowledge for I had heard of him. Paul Lewis is a name that goes back a ways in racing. So now this Jeff Gilder guy must have his head in the right place so I go back and Join the site.Immediately I was welcomed by a name that gnawed at me in the back of my mind. Who is this and where do I know him from. A couple of weeks later his name appeared on a page of old information then it struck me,this guy was a driver I remembered from the 60's so I proceeded to dig information up on him and correct I was .Well as the year goes by there are people on here by the dozens signing up and it has blossomed into a site of unthought of proportions. There are radio shows on 4 nights a week and you can even catch a race or two being broadcast live on the weekends from a local track. You can express yourself on here as you wish as long as its not politics or profanity flavored. You want a photo of a certain driver? Look on here and its here, there is one dude in North Carolina that must have a house just for his photos the way he posts photos and all are of racing in the good days. There is some sand bug on the coast that claims to run a business but all I can see him doing is digging up old race tracks and describing them to the tee as in location and era they were in business. He must not read to well because he keeps no notes but spouts this stuff off from memory, I guess good coastal living does that to you. There is even a 12 or 13 year old monster in the mountains of North Georgia who every week has older seasoned veterans scrambling to see if what this youngster is telling is correct each week,so far he is right on. Must be the altitude in the mountains thats affecting his intake of knowledge to the good side. Then you got another problem growing within the organization, there is a steady growth of old tracks being brought back into their glory by Racers Reunion. Now there is also a hall of fame for motorsports that is somehow connected to Racers Reunion and all the while all this is going on there is a prominent core group of folks who quietly set in the dark and feed the correct information to the powers as to or when certain functions happened and who what and where it was held.So now folks I am sure there is new ground in the process of being broken by Racers Reunion, Do you care to add input as to what, where or when???? Whats your thought------??
