Tiny Lund captured his 7th pole of the year for Grand Touring race number 19 of 1968 at the 5/8 mile paved North Wilkesboro Speedway. 1,400 fans watched Lund pilot his Bud Moore prepared Cougar to his 3rd consecutive win and ninth of the season. Little Bud Moore gave Tiny a run for the money in his Ronnie Hopkins Camaro by leading 50 laps before blowing an engine.
