March 28th we lost Bobby Van Luven. Bob passed away in his sleep in Los Angeles California of a massive heart attack. Bob was the son of Famous Supercharger inovator Lenard Van Luven the Father of the Vancharger. Bob was one of my best friends in Drag Racing. I worked wilt his Dad at Donovan Engr. in the 60s. Bob and his brother Richie were always waiting for me to come to California and race. Heand Richie wereour California Crew members. All three are together again.
Ed Pink, Louie Scenter, Tommy Dyer, Keeling and Clayton, Cal Charger and Donovan and Van Luven Iron Maiden. were all Van Luven tuned Dragsters. Bob even ran his own Dragster for a short time.
RIP Bobby you were one of the Best.
