The final day of the 2011clean up/beautification of HCS is Saturday, April 9 at 9 a.m. We will be blowing the track and removing any additional limbs trying to peek over the guard rails.

March 13, 2011

The first cleanup day for this year's event at the track will be Saturday, March 19 beginning at 9 a.m. We will also have a Team SC Midlands Chapter meeting at 1 p.m.

We look forward to seeing you whether you are there to work or attend the meeting.

Cleanup day 2 (3-26)began at8:15 a.m. under cloudy skies and continued through two rain showers. Mr. Sellers was there early conducting track maintenance. Iraked, picked up rocks,glass, and cut roots near the walk entrance to the track until Wayne arrived. Wayne and I worked togetheron removing brush from entrance areas and the HCS signs.Jeffery arrived and helped complete this task. John Banks arrived to cut grass in turns 3 and 4. After completing the front entrance areas, wemoved to the track to pick up limbs the Legend cut last Saturday. We ate lunch around 1 p.m., which was provided by Love Chevrolet anddelivered by Rebecca Turnerand John Wiseduring the break at the RacersReunion Beauty Pageant. After lunch, Wayne and I worked on the front straightaway while John continued cutting grass. Mr. Sellers worked inside the ticket office.

The next "official" work day will be April 9 at 9 a.m.
