Several years ago Ned Jarrett, was working on ESPN with Bob Jenkins and Larry Neuberon a telecast. During the race he told the story of his son Dale and Andy Petree getting started in racing out of high school. He mentioned there was a third friend involved in the venture, however I cannot for the life of me remember the third member of the trio.I asked Jimmy Johnson up at Pocono this past week end, but he couldn't remember either.I had the pleasure to talk to Andy Petree during a bluegrass concert at the track, but never thought to ask him at the time. I would appreciate anyone who knows who the third person was to let me know.
